Privacy Policy for QueueCut

QueueCut ("we," "our," "us") operates the QueueCut mobile application (the "App"), which connects Customers with nearby barber shops, and allows Shop Owners and Barbers to manage shops, staff, and bookings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using QueueCut, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

QueueCut has three types of accounts — Customer, Barber, and Shop Owner. We collect different information depending on your role.

1.1 Account Information (all users)

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Login credentials, managed securely via Firebase Authentication

1.2 Shop Owner Information

• Shop name
• Shop address
• Shop location (latitude and longitude)
• Barber staff accounts created and managed under the shop

1.3 Barber Information

• Barber account is created by the Shop Owner and linked to a specific shop
• Name, email, and phone number as provided during account setup

1.4 Customer Information

• Live location (latitude and longitude) — used to find and display nearby shops and calculate distance from the customer to each shop

1.5 Automatically Collected Information

We use Firebase for backend services. Depending on which Firebase features are active, this may include:

• Device identifiers and basic device information (for authentication and app functionality)
• App usage data, if analytics tools are enabled in the future

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and verify your identity
• To let Shop Owners register and manage shops and barber staff
• To show Customers a list of nearby shops, sorted or filtered by distance
• To calculate the distance between a Customer's current location and a shop
• To communicate with you about your account or bookings
• To maintain the security and proper functioning of the App

3. Location Data

QueueCut collects precise location data (GPS latitude/longitude):

• From Shop Owners, once, when registering a shop's location.
• From Customers, to find nearby shops and show distance. Location is accessed only while using the relevant features of the App.

You can disable location access at any time through your device settings, though this may limit the App's ability to show nearby shops or accurate distances.

4. Data Storage and Security

User data is stored securely using Google Firebase (including Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database / Firestore). Firebase applies industry-standard security measures to protect data in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

QueueCut uses the following third-party service:

Firebase is provided by Google LLC. You can review Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Future Features

We plan to introduce the following features in future updates, which will expand the data we collect and how it's used. This policy will be updated accordingly before those features go live:

• Push Notifications — via Firebase Cloud Messaging, to notify you about bookings and updates. Requires device notification tokens.
• Analytics and Crash Reporting — to help us understand app usage and fix issues, using tools such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.
• Subscription / Premium Plans — optional paid plans for Shop Owners or Barbers to unlock additional features beyond the free tier. Payment processing, when introduced, will be handled by a secure third-party payment provider; we do not store your card details ourselves.
• In-app Account Deletion — a self-service option to permanently delete your account and associated data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the App's services. Account deletion is not yet available directly within the App; until it is, you can request deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below.

8. Children's Privacy

QueueCut is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Your Choices and Rights

• You may update your account information within the App.
• You may disable location permissions through your device settings at any time.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us directly.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as new features (such as push notifications, analytics, or payments) are introduced. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
